Mrs. Turner leaves a legacy in her family of her four children, Pacie Eugene Turner, Jr. (Marcia), James A. Turner, Cathy Turner, and Sherry Fain (Joseph); five grandchildren, Dana Gardner (Chad), Lori McFall (Matt), James C. Turner (Stefanie), Daniel Turner (Bethany) and Stephen Fain (Whitney); one granddaughter-in-law, Brittney Turner; and eight great-grandchildren, Tanner, Braxton, Callie, Colton, Tyde, Emery, Anderson, and Parker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pacie Eugene Turner, Sr.; her grandson, Justin Turner; one sister; four brothers; and her parents, James William and Cansada Palmer Henderson.
Mrs. Turner saw a lot of changes during her time on earth, but through it all she cared for and loved her family, friends and as she said, “all people”. She had a generous heart and was always ready to give a smile and an encouraging word. Mrs. Turner is gone from here on earth but is in heaven forever more with her Lord Jesus. She was Baptist by faith and served as a mechanic assistant in World War II. She was trained in Montgomery and went to Mobile where she helped to build planes used in the war. Later she worked at Anniston Army Depot and Ft. McClellan where she retired after many years in the Civil Service in Logistics. She loved to cook for her family and lovingly cared for her grandbabies. Mrs. Turner was an important part of the lives of her family members and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
