Alexandria – Funeral service for Mrs. Mildred Elizabeth Artman, 85, will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barry Thompson and Dr. Bill Snow officiating. A private committal will follow the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Mrs. Artman went home to be with her Lord on Friday, May 4, 2018. Mrs. Artman is survived by her son, George Artman of Alexandria; her granddaughter, Chelsea (Alex) Ward of Alexandria; two great-grandsons, Colton and Chase Ward; her sister, Gloria (Paul) Kornis of Decatur; two nieces, Kimberly (Ernie) Spires and April (Steve) Boyett, all of Belvedere, SC; and one nephew, Troy (Stacie) Williams of North Augusta, SC; four great-nieces, Kaylee and Raynee Spires and Ashton and Camryn Williams; and two great-nephews, Hayden and Jacob Boyett. Mrs. Artman was born and raised in Augusta, GA to the late Johnnie and Myrtis McIntosh Alberson. She loved the Lord and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Artman was a very humble and caring person and to everyone she met, she was a friend. Mrs. Artman was always there when you needed her and was kind, loving and beautiful on the inside and out. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Our loss here on Earth, is Heaven’s gain, for we know Heaven has gained another Angel.
