Jacksonville - Travis Lamar Wilson, Jr. was born on October 27, 1992 at RMC in Anniston, to Zita Siders and Travis Lamar Wilson, Sr. He confessed to Christ at an early age and joined under the leadership of New Hope Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Travis, Jr. attended Kitty Stone Elementary School in Jacksonville and also the Alexandria and Anniston School Systems. He was very active in sports and had a great sense of humor and was always seen with a big smile on his face. Travis, Jr. loved his family and they dearly loved him. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving mother, Zita Sides of Jacksonville; his father, Travis Wilson, Sr. of Anniston; his step-mom, Tameka Bowers Wilson of Anniston; five loving sisters and brother, Breiana Bowers of Anniston, Darien Martin of Jacksonville, Anarie Wilson of Oxford, Malik Wilson of Dodge City, Kansas and Daquin Martin of Jacksonville; two loving grandparents, Mrs. Delores Keith of Jacksonville and Mrs. Lucinda Wilson Foster of Anniston; three aunts, Gail Wilson, Andrea Siders and Rosylin Siderss; two uncles, Earl Siders and Rev. Patrick Wilson; a very special big uncle, William Wilson; cousins, Lock, Q., Tony, Juan, Javeon and Cameron; his godparents, Andrea Morris and Dino Anders; and a host of other relatives and friends. Travis, Jr. was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Mrs. Otis Nixon and Mrs. Roberta Wilson; and his granddaddy, George Douglas Wilson. Home Going services for Travis Lamar Wilson, Jr., 25, will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 12 noon at New Hope Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Pastor Titus Roberson, Pastor Patrick Wilson and Pastor Roosevelt Parker will be officiating the service. Travis, Jr. will lie in state at the church two hours prior to the service. Burial will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery following the service. Travis, Jr. passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018.
